Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program
Mountaintop Childcare is excited to announce that we are going to be bringing the Universal Pre-K Program to our center in August, 2023! UPK is a childcare subsidization program that allows children 4 and up to receive scholarships for childcare at the facility of their choice. The Universal Pre-K Program will give ALL families a chance to receive FREE PART-TIME Pre-K! It will also give ESL or low-income families a chance at FREE FULL-TIME Pre-K!

We at Mountaintop Childcare are dedicated you bringing families amazing, big-quality pre-k, and UPK has made it possible for ALL families to be part of it. Do You Qualify for Universal Pre-Kindergarten?
You Qualify for Part-Time UPK IF...
- Your Child Turns 4 Before October 1st, 2023
What are your benefits?
- Via UPK, you'll receive 15 hours of completely FREE Pre-Kindergarten
- At Mountaintop, Part-Time Students can attend Tuesday-Friday 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM in which your child will receive completely FREE high-quality Pre-K as well as FREE Breakfast and Lunch.
- Wrap-around care will be available at a discounted rate.
You Qualify for Full-Time UPK IF...
- Your Child Turns 4 Before October 1st, 2023
- Your Household Speaks English as a Second Language, Your Household is Considered Low-Income, or Your Household is Considered Homeless. (There may be other qualifying factors as well. If you are wondering if you qualify, please contact Christy DeLorme or Laura Martinez.)
What are your benefits?
- Via UPK, you'll receive 30 hours of completely FREE Pre-Kindergarten
- At Mountaintop, you'll be able to use these hours in any Full-Time Slot Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM in which your child will receive completely FREE high-quality Pre-K as well as FREE Breakfast, Lunch, and Afternoon Snack.
YOUR CHILD IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE POTTY TRAINED TO ATTEND MOUNTAINTOP, VIA THE UNIVERSAL PRE-K PROGRAM OR OTHERWISE

Full-Time UPK Income Guidelines:
Family Size of 2: up to $4100 per month
Family Size of 3: up to $5175 per month
Family Size of 4: up to $6200 per month
Family Size of 5: up to $7300 per month
Families can make 270% of the FPL and still qualify for the FULL-TIME option of UPK.
